Farli inside zip winter boots

I have been a loyal Cougar fan for years so I was devastated when they closed down. Then, they came back! They didn’t bring back my favourite style (Seismic) but they have some other ones that look promising. I really can’t do laces with my hands in the winter (carpal tunnel, eczema etc) so I need zips. I read other reviews that the Savvy were too clunky and heavy so I opted for the Farli. No zip but pull on and a tightening toggle. Automatically out of the box, they look beautiful. Oof the ankle is tight so it took me a couple mins getting them on. I’m typically an 8.5-9 so I tried a 9. Once they were on, the fit was ok. Tiny bit narrow but not enough to pinch. The problem comes with the shaft. It’s loose so if I’m walking my dog in the snow. It’s all going to go down the sides. That toggle is not good. Its a tiny elastic and you pull it shut, all it does is cut off your circulation, like you have a hair tie around your ankle. It doesn’t tighten the rest of the shaft. I have to send these back :(
